iPhone App, Wayfinding, UI Design, Icons
This project aimed to produce a wayfinding system for the O2, a large entertainment district on the Greenwich peninsula in South East London. As a student group, we researched the area together to define and solve any problems it may have, and developed our design strategies with 3 key words; Flexible, Legible, Accessible
" Design strategy to multiple applications with cutting-edge technology, Augmented Reality. "
Then each of us had to choose and design, as an individual, one of three wayfinding elements including - augmented reality interface for iPhone, physical information hub, physical signage system - yet within the structure of the group design strategy.
I've done fare amount of research and developed the iPhone interface with augmented reality feature. I named the agmented reality feature '3D view' - that is very simple, quick, and easy to use. It leads the user giving directions and information on the built in camera view of the user by using augmented reality. Also users can see their current location with map placed at right-bottom of screen.
