AIA #2.

April 2013
This freelance project was to create an illustration for April issue of AIA, The American Institute of Architects Magazine. Here's the gist of the article - Schools of architecture are notoriously bad about keeping track of where their students go after graduation, save for general statistics of whether or not their graduates found work “in the field.” But, increasingly, as much as 50 percent of students U.S. architecture programs were born outside of this country.
" But, increasingly, as much as 50 percent of students U.S. architecture programs were born outside of this country.. "
" What factors weigh on a graduate’s decision to practice in the U.S. or find work outside of the U.S.?
Is that 50 percent rate likely to translate into a greater number of foreign-born architects working in the U.S.? Or, a greater number of American-trained architects taking those skills to other countries? "
After exchanging a few drafts and comments on them, it was issued making both very satisfied. I really enjoyed this project as a great opportunity to have a creative fun to achieve a great level of visualisation. Here are the cover and the actual page of the magazine, also a few sketches and drafts are following.
